Quick reminder that Dutch horror author Thomas Olde Heuvelt will be at the Otherland Bookshop tomorrow (March 31) evening at 19:30 for a reading/signing event!
We got to know him with one of the most spectacular witch books of current times, Hex, and he has been constantly and very successfully writing about various paranormal cases and other horrific scenarios ever since; hostile mountains, ship wrecks being portals to other dimensions, yearly Purge-like rage and violence feasts to keep up the peace the rest of the year...
So bring your books or buy them new at the Otherland (and drop them a mail to let them know you're coming), I'm sure it will be exciting and interesting.
Edit: And it was amazing! Thomas Olde Heuvelt and his German moderator Björn Springorum were quite the entertaining team on stage and had a genuine talk about the roots of Thomas' love for storytelling (It's his uncle!), how he warps conventional tropes into his own work, his (non)-beliefs in ghosts and the supernatural, fear as a motivator in current times, evil mountains, ghost ships, etc. etc.
There are two books I now added to my tbr thanks to last evening, I took November with me, which doesn't have an English translation yet, and apparently he's writing a new book about story telling, so I can't wait for that!
